Lupus - Did you know?

  • An estimated 1.5 million Americans have lupus.

  • Lupus is ranked the fifth cause of death among Black and Hispanic women, ages 15-24, and a leading cause of death among all young women.

  • People with lupus take on average nearly eight prescription medications to manage all their medical conditions caused by the disease.

  • There is no single test to diagnose lupus. On average, it takes nearly six years for people with lupus to be diagnosed, from the time they first notice their lupus symptoms.

Mental Health - Did you know?

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, and only half of them receive treatment.

  • 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience a serious mental illness each year, and only two-thirds receive treatment.

  • 1 in 6 U.S. youth experience a mental health condition each year, and only half of them receive treatment.

  • 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24.

  • The average delay between onset of mental illness symptoms and treatment is 11 years.

  • 122 million people live in Mental Health Professional Shortage Areas.
